ACTIVATION WITHOUT INTERNET
Recording Mac offline?
Activate with a file.
For sites where the recording Mac has no internet. You carry two small files on a USB stick, and nothing else leaves the site.
How it works
- On the recording Mac, open VMS Server → Licence → No internet on this Mac?, enter your licence key and save the activation request (a
.vmsrequestfile) to a USB stick. - On any computer with internet, upload that file below and download the licence file (a
.vmslicensefile). - Back on the recording Mac, choose Import licence file. Done.
The licence file works only on the Mac that made the request, and covers the period you have paid for (up to 400 days). To renew, leave the key field empty and choose Licence → Save renewal request…, then repeat steps 2 and 3. Request files expire after 14 days.
Upload the activation request
Licence file ready
Copy it to the USB stick, then on the recording Mac choose Licence → Import licence file.
